Brendan Brosnan was named CIO of the $1.5 billion Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, effective Nov. 1, confirmed spokeswoman Judy Wright. Mr. Brosnan reports to Director Charles P. Bujol and to the 11-member board of trustees. He replaces Julia LeBlanc, who is retiring after 33 years with the system, 25 of those as CIO. Mr. Brosnan was investments manager at the $13.9 billion Teachers Retirement System of Louisiana, also in Baton Rouge. Dan Bryant, CIO of the teachers system, said fund officials have not begun to search for Mr. Brosnan's replacement.
