Stichting Pensioenfonds Hoogovens, Ijmuiden, Netherlands, hired ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities to provide global custody and data warehouse services for its entire €5.1 billion ($6.5 billion) portfolio, CFO Harry Lensen said in a telephone interview.
Factoring greatly into the choice was the data warehouse solution provided by Mellon's subsidiary Eagle Investment Systems, which allows more reporting flexibility on certain investment parameters such as asset/liability monitoring, Mr. Lensen said. "This is an area that has become more and more important for us," he said. The previous global custodian was Citigroup.
