Fulton County Employees Retirement System, Atlanta, indefinitely suspended its search for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run $130 million, according to Jim Stevens, chairman. He declined to give a reason for ending the invitation-only search, which was undertaken in midsummer. Officials of the $1 billion pension plan had looked at several firms, Mr. Stevens said.
The system could begin another invitation-only search in five or six months, he said.
Fund officials are still monitoring the performance of incumbent Davis Hamilton Jackson, he said. Beth McWilliams, a spokeswoman for Davis Hamilton, was not available for comment at press time.
The plan's consultant, Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting, is assisting.
