Brockton (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is looking to add a second domestic all-cap equity manager, confirmed Harold P. Hanna Jr., executive director. Officials of the $349 million pension plan are seeking a firm to run $5 million; no decision has been made as to whether the portfolio will be active or passive, Mr. Hanna said. Icon Advisers currently runs $22.7 million in active domestic all-cap core equities for the system. Funding will come from a general rebalancing and no managers will be terminated, Mr. Hanna said. The move is the result of an ongoing asset allocation study started by the plan's consultant, Evaluation Associates, on Aug. 23. Plan officials hope to name finalists at their October meeting, and a selection is expected in November.
