The Arizona State Retirement System, Phoenix, issued an RFP for a bundled provider for a start-up 401(a) supplemental defined contribution plan for state employees, said Lesli Sorensen, retirement benefits administrator. Candidates should be able to provide investment options that include risk-based lifestyle funds, said Ms. Sorensen. The plan will start in early 2007 and state employees can start contributing in March. The RFP can be requested via e-mail at [email protected] Proposals are due Sept. 29. A decision is expected by Nov. 17. The system has $25 billion in defined benefit assets.
