Pensioenfonds Metalektro, Schiphol, Netherlands, hired Acadian Asset Management, OFI Institutional Asset Management, LSV Asset Management and T. Rowe Price to run active global equity portfolios for the €19 billion ($24.4 billion) pension plan. Acadian will run €83 million; OFI, €82 million; LSV, €59 million; and T. Rowe Price, €58 million. Funding came from an enhanced index equity fund run by State Street Global Advisors, which was closed, said Roland van den Brink, director of investments. SSgA continues to run other assets for the fund, he said.
Fund officials wanted to increase active equity management, Mr. van den Brink said. The search was conducted internally.
