The Hampden County Board of Retirement, Springfield, Mass., is searching for a manager to run $12 million in an enhanced S&P 500 index portfolio, confirmed Julianne Bartley, executive director of the $200 million plan. It's a new allocation. Ms. Bartley declined to comment on the source of funding. Plan officials are initiating the search for diversification.
