Duane C. Meek, senior vice president for retirement plans at Nationwide Financial Services, will retire on Dec. 31 after 38 years with the company, said Hope Patterson, spokeswoman. The announcement was first reported Thursday afternoon on Pensions & Investments' website, pionline.com. Bill Jackson, vice president for internal sales and service, will replace Mr. Meek on Oct. 1. A replacement for Mr. Jackson has yet to be named.
Paul Costello was named general manager of the Future Fund Management Agency, Melbourne, Australia. The new Future Fund covers the government's unfunded public service pension liabilities. The position is new. Mr. Costello was CEO of the NZ$10.1 billion (US$6.4 billion) New Zealand Superannuation Fund, Auckland, which has begun a search for his successor, according to a news release.
