The Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System, Oklahoma City, will likely issue an RFP after its Oct. 20 meeting for an active domestic small-cap value equity manager to handle $52 million, said Robert Jones, director of the $1.6 billion plan. Money will come from an identical portfolio managed by New York Life Investment Management, which was terminated because of personnel changes at the firm, Mr. Jones said. The money is in a commingled small-cap value index fund run by State Street Global Advisors pending the hiring of a new manager.
The RFP will be available on the plan's website at www.okfirepen.state.ok.us, Mr. Jones said. Asset Consulting Group is assisting.
