The Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System board committed up to $30 million each to First Reserve Fund XI and the KKR 2006 Fund, and up to $10 million to Nogales Investors Fund II, said Wayne Ige, investment officer of the $9.6 billion fund. All three are private equity funds.
The board also renewed for three years the contract of Templeton Investment Counsel, which manages a $188 million active Asia Pacific equity portfolio for the fund.
