ING North America Insurance Corp., Atlanta, wants to move up to $45 million into an active domestic midcap equity portfolio with a growth and value blend, confirmed Darryl Harris, pension committee chairman. Officials at the $900 million pension plan want to add the style for diversification, Mr. Harris said. Funding could come from reducing the plan's internally managed $317 million active domestic large-cap enhanced core equity portfolio, or from cash, Mr. Harris said. An invitation-only search for a manager to run the new portfolio should begin in late August or early September, with Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting assisting.
