DaimlerChrysler AG, Stuttgart, contributed $84 million to its global defined benefit pension plans in the second quarter and a total of $236 million so far this year, according to a Thursday filing with the SEC. The company had $20 billion in U.S. defined benefit assets as of Sept. 30, according to Pensions & Investments data.
