Wolfgang Kuhn was named sector specialist of Aberdeen Asset Management's pan-European investment-grade credit team, based in London, according to a news release. Mr. Kuhn will focus on industrials. The position was added as a result of Aberdeen's efforts "to capitalize on pricing anomalies through detailed individual security analysis," Nik Hart, Aberdeen's head of credit, said in the release. Mr. Kuhn was the London-based head of global corporate portfolios on UBS Global Asset Management's fixed-income team, said spokesman Dominik Von Arx. "His responsibilities are being covered by the team" while UBS searches for a replacement, Mr. Von Arx said.
Jane Zhao joined PanAgora Asset Management as a quantitative analyst, said spokeswoman Laura McNamara. It is a new position. As a member of the firm's quantitative portfolio team, Ms. Zhao will pursue advanced financial modeling, working to improve existing strategies and develop new models. Ms. Zhao recently received her doctorate in finance from the University of Arizona, said Ms. McNamara.
