HALONEN, SHERMAN JOIN P&I STAFF
Doug Halonen and Jay Sherman have joined Pensions & Investments' editorial staff.
Mr. Halonen is Washington bureau chief, covering regulatory and legislative issues.
Mr. Sherman is a reporter in the New York office, covering trading and asset servicing. He succeeds Gregory Crawford, who was named news editor of sister publication FinancialWeek.
Mr. Halonen was Washington bureau chief at TelevisionWeek, and its predecessor, Electronic Media, for 19 years. (Like P&I, TVWeek is owned by Crain Communications Inc., Detroit.) Before that, he was a reporter for Broadcasting magazine for six years. He has a bachelor's degree in visual arts from the University of California, San Diego, and a master's degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Columbia.

Mr. Sherman was business editor at TelevisionWeek for three years. Before that, he was managing editor at Treasury & Risk Management magazine, and he previously managed a group of capital markets newsletters at Thomson Financial. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from The College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Va.
