The Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, plans to issue an RFP for an active international equity manager to run $50 million, confirmed Julia LeBlanc, CIO of the $1.5 billion fund. No decision has been made on whether funding would come from a general redistribution or from reducing the $120 million portfolio of existing international equity manager Walter Scott & Partners, Ms. LeBlanc said. The RFP will be available Monday on the plan's website, at www.lsers.state.la.us. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. CDT June 27. Fund officials will select finalists in August and hope to make a selection Sept. 18, she said.
Separately, the fund chose Hamilton Lane, HarbourVest Partners, Pantheon Ventures and Wilshire Private Market Growth as finalists in its shortlist search for a private equity fund-of-funds manager to run an unspecified allocation. A selection is planned on July 10. Segal Advisors is assisting.
