The Cincinnati Retirement System is considering an initial investment in real estate. According to minutes from its last investment committee meeting on May 2, the $2.4 billion fund heard presentations on real estate from Ed Cunningham, managing director at Citigroup Alternative Investments, and Pat Thompson, the fund's consultant at Salomon Smith Barney Consulting Group. The investment committee will further discuss real estate at upcoming meetings, according to the minutes, although there was no indication if an initial investment is imminent. Jack Walsh, acting pension fund manager, did not return calls.
