Andrew "Buddy" Donohue today was named the director of the SEC's division of investment management, effective May 15, said SEC spokesman John Hiney. He replaces Paul Roye, who left the SEC during the spring of 2005 to become senior vice president at Capital Group. Susan Wyderko, who was director of investor education at the SEC, has been interim director of investment management. There has been no announcement about Ms. Wyderko's next position, said Mr. Hiney. Mr. Donohue is global general counsel for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. MLIM spokeswoman Megan Frank couldn't immediately discuss plans for that position following Mr. Donohue's departure.
