Thomas Sandlow was named director of manager research by hedge fund-of-fund manager Tremont Capital Management. Mr. Sandlow will oversee a 20-person staff based in Rye, N.Y.; London; and Hong Kong. He reports to CIO Cynthia Nicoll, who previously had responsibility for this function, according to a statement from the company. Mr. Sandlow was head of hedge fund manager research for the funds-of-funds unit at Safra Asset Management. Andrea Russo, Safra's director of investor relations, declined to comment.
Mark A. Enman and David J. Gorman were named managing directors of Arden Asset Management. Both positions are new. Mr. Enman will join the hedge fund-of-fund manager's research department later this year, said Jonathan Gasthalter, a spokesman. Mr. Enman will bring fixed-income and relative value management experience to the investment process, according to a company statement. Mr. Gorman will join the client development and service group on April 10 and will focus on consultant relationship development. Mr. Enman was global head of U.S. dollar rates trading at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Karen Cooper, a DrKW spokeswoman, did not have information about Mr. Enman's replacement. Mr. Gorman was managing director of consultant relations at Bear Stearns Asset Management. Michelle O'Brien, a spokeswoman at Bear Stearns, said information is not available about Mr. Gorman's replacement.
