Waltham (Mass.) Contributory Retirement Plan issued an RFI for alternative investment managers, confirmed analyst Matt Seney with consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel. The $145 million fund currently has 13.6% of its assets in alternative investments such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds, and is looking at other possibilities. The fund is seeking managers to have available when "board members may have funds to allocate as a result of rebalancing, termination of an existing manager or other circumstance," according to the RFI.
