The Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System, Oklahoma City, hired Chase Investment Counsel, Aletheia Research and Management and Sawgrass Asset Management to run a total of $300 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, said Tom Beavers, executive secretary.
The $8.2 billion system also selected finalists in its search for an active domestic all-cap equity manager to run about $250 million, Mr. Beavers said; those names will likely be released next week pending notification of the managers involved.
Partial funding for both portfolios will likely come from a $700 million S&P 500 index fund run by Northern Trust, with another portion coming from a $732 million active domestic large-cap growth equity portfolio run by Goldman Sachs.
