Owens-Illinois Inc., Toledo, Ohio, expects to contribute $48.9 million to its pension plans, according to its most recent annual report, released today. The money will be distributed evenly among the three plans the company oversees: an $832 million plan for salaried workers; a $1.73 billion plan for hourly workers; and a $107 million plan for workers in Australia.
The plans were underfunded by a total of $145 million at year-end 2005, according to the report.
