The Greenwich Roundtable, Greenwich, Conn., released its second best due diligence practices report for hedge fund investors.
"Best Practices in Hedge Fund Investing: Due Diligence for Global Macro and Managed Futures Strategies" was written by a subcommittee comprising hedge fund and funds-of-funds managers from firms including U.S. Trust, Olympia Capital Management, Kenmar Group, Tapestry Asset Management and Martello Investment Management.
The report moves from a basic introduction and definition of the two categories of hedge funds into an exhaustive series of questions that investors should employ when reviewing hedge fund investments. It covers the gamut of hedge fund management, from considerations of the investment process, risk management, operations and documentation to a discussion of the intuition and trust that many investors use to decide whether to invest in a particular hedge fund.
Copies of the both best practices reports (the first, released last summer, focused on due diligence for equity strategies) are available from Doug Moffitt, president of the Greenwich Roundtable, at (203) 625-4542 or [email protected]
