Christopher M. Pope joined Boston Private Value Investors as a managing director, said Catharine Sheehan, spokeswoman with parent Boston Private Financial Holdings, a wealth management firm. BPVI has $850 million under management in value equity strategies and serves high-net-worth clients and institutions, mostly foundations and endowments. It is a new position. Mr. Pope will be responsible for expanding BPVI's institutional client base both in its Northeast home base and nationally, said Ms. Sheehan. Mr. Pope was director of U.S. institutional sales, client service and consultant relations with
State Street Global Advisors, Boston until October; he was replaced by Penny Darcey.
