Calamos Asset Management today reported assets under management of $43.8 billion as of Dec. 31, up 1.4% from the previous month and up 15% compared with Dec. 31, 2004. Mutual fund assets totaled $31.9 billion at year-end, up 18% from the previous year, according to a news release. Separately managed accounts totaled $11.9 billion, up 8.2% over a year earlier.
Separately, AUM at Brinker Capital, a provider of managed account and mutual fund services, jumped 25% to a record $5.8 billion as of Dec. 31. The firm cited significant sales increases in both its mutual fund program and its separately managed account program, which offers 70 different strategies by 50 money managers, according to a news release.
