The Labor Department today published final rules requiring administrators of multiemployer pension plans to give an annual notice on the funded status of the plans to participants, labor unions, contributing employers and the PBGC. The notice, which is required under the Pension Funding Act of 2004, must detail the level of plan funding and compare the plan's assets with benefit payments.
