Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico, Santa Fe, will search for up to three investment consultants, confirmed Dominic Garcia, deputy director of investments for the $10.9 billion fund. Fund officials could hire one consultant for general consulting duties and the others for alternative investments or specialty asset classes that have yet to be determined. Callan, the lone current incumbent, will be invited to rebid; its contract expires April 1.
The RFP will be available the week of Jan. 9 on PERA's website at www.state.nm.us/pera. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. MST Feb. 10. Officials hope to make a selection by the end of March for the general consultant; a decision on hiring the other consultants will be made afterward.
