JLL Partners closed its middle-market buyout fund, the JLL Partners Fund V, on Dec. 21 when it reached $1.5 billion under management. Investors included the $80 billion New York State Teachers' Retirement System, Albany, and the $70 billion New Jersey Division of Investment, Trenton. JLL founder Paul S. Levy said in a statement the firm was "disappointed to have had to turn away many interested parties."
