Henry Johnson was named president of Fiduciary Trust Co. International, confirmed William Weeks, spokesman for parent Franklin Resources. Mr. Johnson succeeds William Yun, who will remain president of Franklin Templeton Institutional, another unit of Franklin Resources, Mr. Weeks said. Mr. Yun has taken on greater responsibilities overseeing FTI's defined benefit, defined contribution and Franklin Portfolio Advisors businesses, Mr. Weeks said. Mr. Johnson was executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Fiduciary. The chief administrative officer position will be eliminated; Wendy Harrington was named executive vice president of operations and technology, a new position that handles many of the chief administrative officer's duties. Ms. Harrington came from Franklin Templeton Technologies, a subsidiary of Franklin Resources. Also, Anne Tatlock announced that she will retire as chairman and CEO of Fiduciary Trust in the fall of 2006. James Goodfellow, vice chairman and head of the company's high-net-worth business, will become chairman upon her departure. The company has not yet determined when it will appoint a new CEO, said Mr. Weeks. Gail Cohen, executive vice president and general trust counsel, will become the head of Fiduciary's high-net-worth business.
