Stichting Pensioenfonds Grontmij, De Bilt, Netherlands, hired PIMCO to manage €308.7 million ($366.27 million) in active liability-driven, euro-denominated bonds, said Marc B.M. van Heel, PIMCO Europe's head of Benelux business development. The long-duration strategy will seek a return of 150 basis points above the liability-driven benchmark, said Mr. van Heel. Officials for the €455 million scheme funded the portfolio from an existing fixed-income portfolio previously managed by three other managers. Pension fund manager Henriette Blommendal could not be reached by press time for additional details. Watson Wyatt Worldwide assisted.
