Church Pension Fund (Episcopal), New York, terminated Capital Guardian Trust, which ran an active domestic small-cap growth equity portfolio for the $7.7 billion pension plan, said a fund official who did not want to be identified. The official said the assets were divided among the plan's other domestic equity managers; the official declined to provide any other information about the portfolio or the termination. CapGuardian continues to manage an international equity portfolio for the fund.
Chuck Freadhoff, a spokesman for CapGuardian parent Capital Group, declined to comment.
