Eva Halvarsson was appointed chief executive of the 173 billion Swedish krona ($21.4 billion) AP2, Goteborg, Sweden, effective in mid-February, according to a news release. She replaces Lars Idermark, who resigned in July to become chief executive of Kooperativa Forbundet, the Swedish retail cooperative union based in Stockholm. Ms. Halvarsson is head of the Swedish Ministry of Industry, Employment and Communications, which oversees about 60 state-owned companies, said Sven-Eric Soder, the ministry's state secretary.
