Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, adopted asset allocation changes for its $49.3 billion commingled trust fund, reducing U.S. equity to 23% of assets from 31% and increasing international equity to 23% from 15%, said Liz Mendizabal, spokeswoman. The changes will go into effect Jan. 1. No managers shifts were discussed at this time, she said. The fixed income, private equity and real estate allocations were unchanged at 25%, 17% and 12%, respectively. The board oversees $53 billion in retirement assets, including the commingled trust fund.
