Barclays Global Investors is moving 40 iShares funds to the New York Stock Exchange from the American Stock Exchange on Nov. 30. The 40 ETFs join 19 others already listed on NYSE, said Lance Berg, spokesman. In all, BGI will transfer 61 iShares to the NYSE and 19 iShares plus one grantor trust to the Archipelago Exchange from the AMEX, subject to contingencies such as regulatory approval.
As of Nov. 30, there will be 59 iShares listings on the NYSE, one on the Chicago Board Options Exchange and one remaining iShares fund, the iShares Nasdaq Biotech Index fund, on AMEX; BGI officials have not decided whether that fund will be moved, Mr. Berg said.
AMEX officials did not return a call for comment before press time.
