U.K. balanced pooled pension funds returned a median -2.7% in October, according to a monthly update from Mellon Analytical Solutions. Active U.K. equity managers returned a median -3%, net of fees, compared with -2.9% for the FTSE All-Share index, according to Mellon. Balanced pooled funds returned 18.1% for the year, and an annualized 12.8% for the three years and -0.9% for the five years, all ended Oct. 31.
Mellon Analytical Solutions' Pooled Pension Fund Database covers 77 asset managers that run a total of £384 billion ($660.21 billion) in pooled fund assets.
