Anna Parlevliet was appointed as London-based head of international sales for Investec Asset Management, a South African company with £25.7 billion ($44.7 billion) in assets under management. It is a new position. She will primarily be in charge of "selling cross-border products into South Africa, but also selling South African products to Europe and the rest of the world," Chief Executive Hendrik du Toit said in an interview. Ms. Parlevliet was an executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she was responsible for international sales in the U.K. market. GSAM promoted Alex Bark, who had been part of the U.K. client services team, to replace her, said spokeswoman said Nitya Bolam.
Daniel B. LeVan and John W. Evers were named portfolio managers on the Dreyfus Founders Passport Fund, said spokeswoman Patrice Kozlowski. They replace portfolio manager Tracy Stouffer, who is no longer with the firm, said Ms. Kozlowski. Dreyfus elected to close the fund at the end of this year due to "capacity issues" and shift to a new investment focus, she added. The fund, which has $106.4 million in assets under management, will be managed as a small-cap core strategy, according to a filing Thursday with the SEC. It is currently a growth fund. Mr. LeVan is a senior vice president at the Boston Co., a Dreyfus affiliate, and co-manager for the Founders international funds. Mr. Evers is an assistant manager for Boston Co.'s international small-cap strategy and a research analyst on a pair of international strategies. Both will retain these responsibilities in addition to their new roles on the Passport Fund, said Ms. Kozlowski.
