Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto launched the International Centre for Pension Management, a pension research center, for "a timely look at what's going on in pensions, both public and private," said Ken McGuffin, a Rotman spokesman. The school named Keith Ambachtsheer as the center's founding director, according to a statement issued by the school today. Mr. Ambachtsheer, president of KPA Advisory Services, was also named an adjunct professor of finance at Rotman. Brendan Calder, an adjunct professor of strategic management at Rotman, will chair ICPM's advisory board.
ICPM "aims to become a leading exchange of best practices in global pension management as well as a source of best ideas in pension fund legislation and regulation," the statement said.
