Leo Grohowski was named CIO of U.S. Trust, according to a news release. He replaces Timothy Leach, executive vice president, who became head of U.S. Trust for the Western region, said spokeswoman Denise Kazmier. Mr. Leach's position was created because he wanted to return to the West Coast, where he spent 27 years of his career before joining U.S. Trust last year, Ms. Kazmier said. Mr. Leach will now be based in San Francisco, and Mr. Grohowski in New York. Both will report to Peter Scaturro, CEO of U.S. Trust. Mr. Grohowski joined U.S. Trust on Monday after resigning Friday as Deutsche Asset Management's CIO for the Americas.
