Amesbury (Mass.) Retirement System picked Copper Rock Capital Partners to run $1.5 million in active domestic small-cap growth equities, said Sheryl Tresieze, retirement administrator. Funding will come from terminating incumbent manager Bank of New York, Ms. Tresieze said.
The $30 million pension fund also invested $500,000 in a venture capital portfolio run by the Massachusetts Pension Reserve Investment Trust Fund. Funding will come from reducing an S&P 500 fund run by RhumbLine Advisers, leaving it with $11 million, she said.
