Peter Nadosy will serve as interim CIO of Harvard Management Co. until a replacement for Jack Meyer is "in place," James F. Rothenberg, chairman of Harvard Management's board, said in a press release. Mr. Nadosy is a member of the Harvard Management board and a former president of Morgan Stanley Asset Management. Mr. Meyer, Harvard Management president and CEO since 1990, departed today with a team of fixed-income managers to set up a new money management firm, Convexity Capital Management, said Mr. Rothenberg. Harvard Management retained New York-based executive search firm PrinceGoldsmith earlier this year to identify a replacement for Mr. Meyer. Harvard also announced today that its endowment grew 19.2% to $25.9 billion during the fiscal year ended June 30.
Jennifer C. Hom was named director of investments for the $66 billion Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, said spokesman Richard Baker. Ms. Hom was an investment officer and had been interim director of investments since March, when former director Neil V. Toth died of cancer. The plan had conducted a search for Mr. Toth's replacement before choosing Ms. Hom to take the post permanently, Mr. Baker said.
Jeff Giller joined Liquid Realty Partners as managing partner and CIO. It is a new position. Mr. Giller was a partner at Somera Capital Management, where he managed a value-added real estate private equity fund, he said. Tom Hester, Somera CFO, will run the $130 million fund and Mr. Giller will not be replaced, Mr. Hester said.
