Louisiana Municipal Police Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, narrowed its search for a manager to run $30 million in active domestic midcap equities to William Blair, Kalmar Investments and Pinnacle Associates, said Virginia Eckert, director. Officials of the $1.3 billion pension fund are replacing Forstmann-Leff Associates, Ms. Eckert said; she could not say why, referring questions on Forstmann-Leff to consultant Dan Holmes with Summit Strategies. Mr. Holmes did not return a call by press time seeking comment, and officials at Forstmann-Leff could not be reached by press time.
Ms. Eckert said the board will likely select a manager at a meeting Oct. 17. Summit Strategies is conducting the shortlist search.
