Ladue (Mo.) City Council hired Watson Wyatt Worldwide to conduct a one-time review of the $15 million Ladue Police and Fire Pension Plan to find ways of reducing costs, said George Pelt, city finance director. He said no manager searches or terminations are imminent, but noted that higher investment returns could help offset costs. Investments returned 6.8% in 2004, short of the 7.75% assumed rate of return.
City officials did not issue an RFP, instead working from the council's shortlist of candidates.
