CalPERS investment committee today approved hiring five firms to be added to a pre-approved list of real estate special projects consultants. They are: Conrad and Associates; Le Plastrier Development Consulting; JRT Realty Group; KPM Associates and Situs Realty Services.
Separately. Willie Brown, former mayor of San Francisco, resigned today from the board of the $196.7 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento. He was replaced by Tony Oliveira, a Republican member of the Kings County Board of Supervisors, Hanford, Calif. Mr. Oliveira was appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Brad Pacheco, CalPERS spokesman, could not provide further details by press time.
