Mr. Lill replaces David Hartley, who is leaving in early September to become CIO at Sunsuper, one of Russell's major investment consulting clients, according to a statement from Russell. Mr. Lill was a senior consultant in Russell's Sydney office. In addition, Dennis Sams was named director, capital markets. The position is new, Mr. Claiborne said. Mr. Sams was director of investment consulting in Russell's Melbourne office.
Gail Werner-Robertson was appointed chairwoman of the $6.4 billion Nebraska Investment Council, Lincoln, effective Sept. 18, said Ashley Cradduck, a spokeswoman for Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman. Mr. Heineman appointed Ms. Werner-Robertson, a council member, after Chairman Kenneth Green announced his intent to resign from the council and move out of state when his term expires this year. Ms. Werner-Robertson's term will expire in 2008. Carol Kontor, state investment officer with the council, did not return a call by press time seeking comment.
