Mike Mulvihill was hired as a portfolio manager at AXA Rosenberg Group. He replaces Syed Zamil, who was temporarily assuming the portfolio management duties, now will resume his role as head of the portfolio management team in the United States, said Jennifer Morgan, spokeswoman. Mr. Mulvihill, who will report to Mr. Zamil, was a vice president with MSCI Barra; MSCI Barra spokeswoman Ann Taylor Reed said the company does not comment on new hires or replacements.

Chicago Consulting Actuaries named several people to head its new offices in Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York, said Daniel Cox, marketing director. Managing Director Stan Samples, Senior Consultant John Lowell and Principal and Chief Actuary John Moore will lead the Atlanta office, which opened this week. Senior consultants Rick Grossman and Christine Caldwell will lead the Los Angeles office, which will likely open in September; both had been consultants. Principal Brian Septon and senior consultants Donald Segal and Sarah Wright will oversee the New York office, opening Aug. 30. Mr. Segal and Ms. Wright joined CCA from The Segal Co. earlier this summer. Segal Co. spokesman George Strauss could not provide information on their duties or replacements by press time.
