Teachers' Retirement System of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, hired Thornburg Investment Management to run $150 million in active international growth equities, subject to contract finalization, said Tommy C. Beavers, executive secretary. Funding will come from trimming active international value portfolios run by Brandes Investment Partners and Causeway Capital Management, which currently run $550 million and $360 million, respectively, Mr. Beavers said. Capital Guardian also manages about $340 million in active international core equities for the $7.5 billion pension fund. Mr. Beavers said system officials wanted to add a growth mandate to the fund's overall international portfolio.
The retirement system issued an RFP earlier this year, and consultant gregory.w.group assisted.
