The New York City Retirement Systems issued an RFP for a private equity consultant for four of the systems' five pension funds, said Yvette Jackson, spokeswoman. The contract of Pacific Corporate Group, the systems' private equity consultant for eight years, expires soon. PCG is private equity consultant to the $87 billion New York City Employees' Retirement System, the $30 billion Teachers' Retirement System, the $16.6 billion Police Pension Fund, and the $5.6 billion Fire Department Pension Fund.
The RFP is available at www.comptroller.nyc.gov/bureaus/bam/rfps.shtm. Proposals are due Aug. 1; Ms. Jackson declined to say when the plan would make its selection.
