

Scott Faris will resign as managing director of retirement consulting at Arnerich Massena & Associates at the end of the month, said Lynn Spruill, chief operating officer. Mr. Faris will be joining another firm, Mr. Spruill said; he declined to elaborate. Mr. Faris did not return a call for comment by press time. Howard Biggs, who was principal and senior consultant for Merrill Lynch unit Howard Johnson & Co., will replace Mr. Faris at Arnerich Massena, said Mr. Spruill. A Merrill Lynch spokesman did not return calls by press time to comment on a replacement.
Larry H. Goldbrum was named executive vice president of RG Wuelfing & Associates and general counsel of the National Defined Contribution Council/SPARK Institute. He will begin on Aug. 1. Mr. Goldbrum was chief risk officer and senior vice president at Wachovia Retirement Services. Joe Ready, senior vice president at Wachovia Retirement, could not be reached by press time. "We decided at the end of 2004 to bring counsel in-house and after a national search are pleased that Larry has decided to join our firm," said Bob Wuelfing, president of RG Wuelfing & Associates and SPARK.
