BATON ROUGE, La. — Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, hired Dimensional Fund Advisors and Acadian Asset Management to run $100 million each in active international small-cap equities, subject to final contracts, said Patrick Kieffer, investment officer. The portfolios are part of the $12 billion pension fund's ongoing effort to increase its international equity exposure, he said. Partial funding will come from terminated manager TT International, which ran a $400 million active international large-cap core portfolio, and the rest will come from cash, Mr. Kieffer said. The remainder of the TT International portfolio went to active international large-cap equity managers Alliance Capital Management and LSV Asset Management, who were hired in the spring. The firm was terminated for performance in April. Amber Tubb, TT International client services analyst, said the firm does not comment on client matters. The retirement system issued an RFP earlier this year. Holbein Associates assisted.
