Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System, Oklahoma City, is evaluating candidates in its search for a low-volatility hedge fund to add to its lineup, said Herb Bradshaw, deputy director. Officials of the $1.4 billion plan will pick a group of finalists later in the summer and will likely make a selection by October. The board has not yet determined the amount of the investment or the source of funding, Mr. Bradshaw said. The pension plan has investments in several long-short hedge funds, but this will be the system's first low-volatility hedge fund.
