Dow Jones Global Titans 50 index will add ConocoPhillips and Telefonica SA, and drop Eli Lilly & Co. and DaimlerChrysler AG as part of its annual reconstitution of its group of Titans indexes, effective June 20. The reconstituted global index has a total free-float market value of $6.119 trillion, based on recent prices. It comprises companies that are among the largest in terms of market cap, have significant global sales and meet a net profit criterion, according to Sybille A. Reitz, Dow Jones Index spokeswomen.
The Dow Jones Asian Titans 50 index will add Mitsubishi Corp., POSCO, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd., Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. and Westfield Group. It will drop Ito-Yokado Co. Ltd., SK Telecom Co. Ltd., CLP Holdings Ltd., United Microelectronics Corp. and United Overseas Bank Ltd. The Asian Titans reconstituted total free-float market cap is $1.281 trillion, based on recent prices.
The Dow Jones Tiger Titans 50 index will add Formosa Petrochemical Corp., S-Oil Corp. and Hana Bank. It will drop Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., First Financial Holding Co. Ltd. and United Overseas Bank Ltd. The Tiger Titans reconstituted total free-float market cap is $633.992 billion, based on recent prices.
